What a great way to start off the day
I LOVE it! This morning as I was talking to one of our tech guys in Indianapolis, he told me about how his children just love the Mr. Wee and Boo’s Wee-phabet Songs With A Fun Twist! He said his little guy, who is 1 yr. old, stops what he’s doing when the CD is on and is really engaged in the music. What a great way to start off the day – with positive feedback like this!
This brings back memories of when I was in the classroom and had those “this is what makes being a teacher all worth the while” moments. Teachers, you know what I’m talking about. Those moments when you have a student who finally “gets it” after you have taken the time to sit with her and try every strategy at hand to make sure you find a way to reach her! Or, when your assistant principal shares a comment that one of your students made as she was interviewing him for a paper she was writing…… ‘I haven’t seen you in my office this year, what’s different about this school year for you?’ and the student replies ‘…..because Miss R. thinks I’m smart!’ I have tears in my eyes right now thinking about the “Cedrics” I have encountered over the years as I was a classroom teacher.
